We have heard this saying quite a lot of times ‘All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy’. That fits in for us too. Too much work, stress, and submissions could drain our minds to an extent that we become unfit for the purpose. What is the use of such long hours when it cannot give you quality time with your family? When you cannot recover and recharge your brain? When you cannot get full and undisturbed sleep?
Everything is fine until it gets on our nerves.
Everybody needs a break that refreshes the whole system but not at the cost of restlessness for the rest of the year.
If you cannot imagine a travel break with a nominal budget, then this blog is for you.
With little planning and scaling you can plan and achieve your travel goals on a definitive budget.
Here is how.
- The most highly-priced part of an itinerary is either the flight tickets or accommodation. For the former, you can start getting points or say, miles on your purchases and can easily redeem them whenever you need. Or you can prefer buying through an airline credit card. These airline mikes can be used for any destination in the world, the only thing you need to keep in mind is that all taxes that are imposed through the government are mandatory.
- Purchase an economical ticket: Some flights might not offer food and drinks and other complimentary extras. If they are not your only checks on the priority list, you can easily book a flight through these carriers and prepare for all the avoidable additional charges like- paying for luggage while booking the tickets, using the airline application, etc.
- Travel in Season-Off: The best way to plan a trip on a budget is to plan it apart from the peak season. It will decrease the price of traveling by almost half. Also, many times it is more convenient to travel and explore the places in a better way as there is less tourist crowd in tourist attractions sites. Many of the places have an equivalently sound and similar environment during the off-season but it is not uniform with every country or place. Some countries host grand festive sagas during a certain season say Christmas season in London, Cherry blossoms in Japan, Ramadan in the United Arab Emirates, etc.
- Travel via public transport: Private cabs or taxis can cost you triple or quadruple the amount of price a bus or train. Many countries also issue travel insurance and packages that give you access to many discounts on ticket prices.
- Do not eat at overpriced gourmet restaurants: You can pick your meals from a departmental store or convenience stores that offer fresh, ready-to-eat, and affordable meal options. You can also go to any local fresh food market and indulge in a variety of local and delicious cuisine which not only money but also carries an essence of authenticity.
- Earn while traveling: Nowadays you can approach the tourism industry or tourism management committee to work for them or you can establish your vlog channel on YouTube or start writing travel vlogs on a website that could earn you a decent amount to continue checking your travel plans in a better way.
- Shop less: Nowadays, with the ease of import and export, almost everything is available everywhere. It may not be hundred percent authentic to its origin but still, you can compromise on shopping for many of the overrated souvenirs. Spend wisely on the products, and do not overshop clothing, bags, accessories, and other such items. Make sure you plan and carry sufficient items with you so that you do not leave a possibility of buying them at a costlier price.
Traveling is life filmed in a period. The hustle, excitement, planning, shattering of plans, making memories, surprises, and whatnot.
IF YOU’RE TWENTY-PLUS, PHYSICALLY FIT, AND HUNGRY TO LEARN AND BE BETTER, I URGE YOU TO TRAVEL – AS FAR AND AS WIDELY AS POSSIBLE. SLEEP ON FLOORS IF YOU HAVE TO. FIND OUT HOW OTHER PEOPLE LIVE AND EAT AND COOK. LEARN FROM THEM – WHEREVER YOU GO. – ANTHONY BOURDAIN
